Is it hard to replace the CD deck in a 1998 Acura 2.3 CL? It's not a Bose system. I need to put in a new deck but I'm thinking about doing it myself to save on installation costs. I was looking through the Crutchfield catalog and it seems I can get a free install kit for some of the decks.

 

wtf is an install kit?

 

I don't know. I assume it's a set of tools to make it easier to install the deck yourself.

 

install kit is a wireing harness so you dont have to wire it all yourself. and it also should have a dash piece to put it on

 

harness is seperate.. an install kit is just the plastic trim

I have that plastic part. It is same as what you have in your car now. I have 2.2cl

I bought a indash from ebay and they send me that plastic part + harness. it takes 20min to take the old out and out the new one back.

PS: I still have that plactis dash brand new, if someone needs or yours look ugly, I can give it for free...

 

mine is gay and warped at the bottom if that counts
