Changing 2.2 to a 3.0

Me and my buddies we thinking about changing my 97 2.2 cl to a 3.0 . We found a complete 3.0 engine with like 8,000 miles on it and we want to put it in my cl. Is it possible and is it worth all the time and $$$$$$ . Just wanted to ask around before i started on it. Get back to me.

No, check out the s/c or h22 thread, the mounts and engine bay for the engine and tranny are totally different. Where are you located? I'd be interested in the tranny if it's from a 97, if it's a 98 or 99 nevermind. Like supra said, h22 is the swap to do in your 2.2

a h22 is a prelude engine. people swap it because its like almost a direct fit into a 2.2's engine bay. like same mounts and everything. also i think it gives u 200hp. not sure.
