Cargo net for GEN1 CLs...

Ok, I went ahead and found out that they *DO* have a cargo net for our GEN1 CLs. I've always wanted one but it looked like there isn't a place that it would mount to. After a little spill I had w/ some detergent in my trunk, I REALLY want a cargo net to keep grocery bags upright. Anyway, I went down to the dealer today and the parts guy found out that sure enough they have one. he even gave me the directions for installing it. It's like $33 and can be installed easily using simple tools. I'm so glad. I know Melo and I had the conversation that we had both wanted one in our cars. Luckily KikAz told me he had one. So, thanks KikAz. Melo (and those who always wanted one like me), I'll keep y'all posted when mine comes in.

Hey I am glad that you got your cargo net. If you want I can take pics of the net and how it attaches.

Yes, yes, yes... many thanks to you bud (KikAz). That would be neat. Um... I hope that I can install it myself, if not, I'll have to ask one of my friends. Haha Yeah, helpless dumb girl, huh? LOL

Actually Maui, I do have one, it's just not one from the dealer. The one that I have is from another car that I have had in my past 2 cars and I have been creative about installing. When you get yours please take a pic so we can see how it installs, maybe I'll get this one instead.

That cargo net came standard in my car. Either Acura made it standard for '99, or the dealer added it.

I usually keep it unhooked because it gets in the way of larger items. but sometimes it is nice to have.

I think the net would be nice to have to keep stuff from bangin around in the trunk around corners.

I got my cargo net at Wal-Mart. It's was like $15. It has three divisions inside, although they had 1 division as well. Looks exactly like KikAzCL97's.

It will be very helpful to me because I usually never have anything to put in my trunk except for shopping bags. I never used to have this problem before coming to college because I never used to buy groceries! I can see how it would get in the way, but, for my needs, it's going to be a God-send.

Probably was me! I am the only green CL thats lowered and has rims. There is a White one lowered with rims too. I have only seen him a couple of times and I want to talk to him. All other cl's around here are bone stock and its a damn shame.

I don't know what being in college has to do with it, but as for ruining the look of the car... (That was tongue-in-cheek humor, by the way.)

The CL is a damn fine looking automobile "bone stock" as you called it. It changed little from the radical CL-X concept car and is distinctive from almost any angle. Until the Solara completely ripped off the look, there was nothing (well, except for the Accord which is looking more like a first gen CL all the time) on the road like it. From what I've been able to gather, you folks who like to mod your car do it to be distinctive--to have something unique and that is completely your own. In my eyes, you've got that just by buying a first gen CL!

Now, now, settle down boys. While I can see both sides, I have to side with Iceman in saying that the CL is a great car all by itself. But, hey, if you want to fix your cars up to voice your self expression, by all means, go for it To each his/her own!

Hey melo72, sorry I didn't respond I didn't see your post until now. No I did not install the cargo, I think the dealership did it. I thought all the CL's came with the same leather shifter? But I think I am going to keep this shifter, just incase I need to take the other one out or something.

Yes it is, there are only a couple of sites that sell them. I got mine for Southwest Autoworks, but their web site is under construction. Here is their email alex@southwestautoworks.com . They had the best price, 90 with shipping. If not there I would get it from Nopi.
