im rolling up on 230,000kms on my 97 Acura 2.2, anyone have any idea what would be causing this problem?

About 75% of the time my car seems to vibrate, especially when cruising on the highways, or in 1st gear in traffic, sometimes i dont feel it, sometimes i do....its quite annoying really.....feels like its rocking back and forth, hard to explain really..

i know my questions vague, any input would be appreciated, thanks!

 

Its hard to say man, 230k miles is a lot. My first guess would be a combination of things.

Cruising oh highway: bent rims
rocking back and forth: motor mounts or bushings
hows the alignment?

it'd be about 142k miles

 

I'd say wheel bearing, or bent rim. Are your tires balanced, allignment?

 

check your CV boots. it maybe torn and on its way out.

 

damn when i saw 230 i thought 230 miles...lol sorry im not hip with the metric..haha

 

I remember driving the other night and running over something that felt like plastic didnt see what it was, i wonder if that bent my rim

I did an alignment when i changed my brakes around 20k ago im guessing, seems straight doesnt pull on me really......
