Car Alarms?
Okie heres the deal. I'm considering putting in a new alarm system into my car. I need one that has:
Remote Starter
Keyless Entry
Alarm (of course)
Trunk Rlease (AND) Window up/down.
The window feature isn't necessary.
Does anyone have any ideas of good brands? Good prices for these brands? I've seen these things anywhere from 100-400 bucks, I dont want to really spend much over 150 for th alarm itself seeing as how installation will probably be an obsecne amount of money. Any suggestions guys ?
Thanks.

I gotta viper 550 esp. It comes with everything you mentioned and you can add on such things as a trunk popper and windows up/down. I got mine for 150 offa ebay then had a shop put it in. Hope this helps

I got a compustar 2wfm, it cost a shitload though, its got a 1/4 mile range which is nice... I think it came to close to $700 installed. It has all the things you mentioned, and you can add stuff.

Still trolling
Use the factory siren if you like it. Quite frankly, you won't find an aftermarket one as loud unless you buy a Alpine alarm (Alpine makes ours).
I opted not to on mine becuase you have to rewire the factory siren at the siren itself. I did not feel like taking the fender liner out to do it. The factory alarm sends a negative pulse to activate the siren. Most all aftermarket alarms will send 12+. I guess I could have inverted the aftermarket 12v+ output with a relay, but I was unsure how it would turn out. Relay coils can add a slight delay on short pulses that may have resulted in missing chirps. The way around this is to cut the wires at the siren, swap them so that the wire going to the factory alarm (expecting a negative feed) will actually be the 12+ wire. Then just ground the other wire. Then you can send 12v+ from the aftermarket alarm on the old negative wire to get it to work.
However, doing this eliminates the two sirens. By just adding the aftermarket one, you gain a 2 siren system. Only the aftermarket one will be heard on arm and disarm, but on a door/trunk/hood violation, both will go off since both are armed and disarmed simultaneously (they work in conjunction).
Anyway, I am rambling. You are not going to find an alarm for 200 bucks that does all that installed. If you do, someone is cutting corners somwhere. My alarm alone, without install was $265.00.
Oh, and don't forget you need an imobilzer bypass module and a spare key for remote start. otehr wise you will ahve to leave a key in the ignition all the time.
