is a camber kit really needed??
guys,
just for safety and money saving purposes, should i get a camber kit for my and if so,should i get front and rear or just front? i have neuspeed springs on my car which lowered it say 1.75".so should i buy one or save the money and not worry about it.i think i am just going to go it aligned and see if the factory specs are close enough to what they come out with.let me know guys--thanks--imports4life

OMG, how many times could this question be asked....
You won't know what (if any) camber kit you will need unless you go get the camber checked. With that drop, you probably do need it if you want even wear on your tires.
Go get it aligned/checked for camber. Then, depending on the degree of camber you are off, you will be able to get the apropriate camber kit. I have a Progressive pivot mount from when I had springs and they did the trick. Word on the street is an adjustable ball joint is best, shims are the worst.
For the rear, any decent alignment place can do it with washers to adjust the upper control arm away from the uni-body.

Hey man if I were you I would invest in a camber kit because you are more than likely gonna need it. Even if it costs you more up front you'll save yourself money in the end on tires. I put an Eibach Prokit which supposedly doesn't affect your camber......But I learned the hard way that it does. Look and see for yourself. Go to the No Camber kit folder and take a look. http://photos.yahoo.com/djmicho. You'll see what I mean. I was very pissed when I found out that the inside of my tires were being eaten alive because my camber was off. Just a word of advice.
