camber kit problem

camber kit problem

well i bought an ingalls camber kit and it extended the contol arm out so far that it would hit the frame.....spent half a day today putting it on and taking it off........for nothing....what the hells goin on?

I'm having the same problem, just missed out on rolling my fenders too friend rented a fender rolling machine, but I missed out. Just got my omnis and camber kit put in, but my control arm is definately hitting the fender.

what you need to do is take a rubber hammer ( 4 pounds ) and begin feeling were you need to pound in the fender wall. Take a thin peice of aluminum and a regular mallet hammer ( metal ) and carefully begine to pound in the inner fender area ( gingerly as well ) till it clears. It takes some time but just be gental, steady and everything will work out for you. I had to do this on mine because when i bought the car, this dude had negative camber up the ass on the front which was fine for the track but poor tires.

where it is hitting is part of the unibody frame....it would totally weaking the frame.

our cars do not have a unibody frame. Your not going to jepordize the structural integrity in any way.
