Thinking of getting a Fujita (www.f5air.com) cold air intake
CA-1911 1998-2002 Accord V6 Cold Air
$200 CDN
Anyone had any experience with these?
The AEM V2 is like 150 dollars more.. wondering if its worth it..

Another intake thread without searching?
Search man, don't over pay for that intake, get an ebay, read the n00b guide, rinse repeat

ebay intake + K&N filter = win.
$300 'name brand' tube = fail.
I'm not saying your a dumbass if you got an AEM, injen, etc. intake, I'm just saying if you are just planning on some average mods, it is logical to just get an ebay intake. Works the same and would save you one or two hundred dollars for another mod.

I've done plenty of installs with the Fujita intakes. The fitment of the intake is very nice and the quality is even better. The filter is your typical K&N type. If you want a all around nice intake, I would go with Fujita. I think it's worth it.

I just don't see the benefit to shelling out that much more money, you're not paying all that money for just the filter, but the piping is nothing special, especially the V2, biggest joke of a performance part I've EVER seen

You could just avoid driving in a river. For the Bypass to do anything you have to completely submurge your filter. That would be about a foot or more of water you'd have to drive through. I'm not saying they are not a good idea, I just never drive in water that deep.

They come in real handy for the unexpected, our roads have been flooding out a lot lately from heavy rains

Last year it snowed and when it thawed some of the sewer drains on the street got backed up and i drove through water up to my rocker panels in my old car..
Mind you my old car was slammed.. it was still a lot of water.. my belts got wet and started whistling for a while...
So I think better safe than sorry is appropriate...

You don't have to tell me man, I got stuck in a hurricaine in my CL, and the roads flooded 3-4 feet deep and I was on my way back to our beach house in myrtle beach. Ended up driving through the flooded roads, and only thing that saved my CL was the bypass valve.

Well, in response to the first post. I have a friend with a 2000 accord v6. Has that exact intake and loves it. Fitment is great. performance gains can be felt. He favors it over his comptech. The only draw back is that the intake is going to be loud.
