Bypass Install
Sorry, I know this is a tired subject, but somebody please throw me a friken bone here. Do you just cut the pipe in half, or do you have to cut on each side of where you will install it. If any one can find kick ass instructions for an AEM CAI w/ bypass on a 98 2.3, I'll owe them cause' I searched for pictures.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Step 1: put the cai into the spot its gonna be.
Step 2:look for a spot with clearance so the bypass will not rub on anyuthing once installed.
Step 3:Cut out that peice of paper thats approx. 2 inches in width and tape it around the cai on the spot where the bypass will be.
Step 4: Cut on each side of the piece of paper. This means you will be making 2 seperate cuts.
Step 5: run a rag through the cai to get out all the metal filings.
Step 6: insert one peice of the cai into one side of the bypass and the other half of the cai into the opposite side of the bypass.
Step 7: reinstall in your engine bay.

Thanks, I got it installed. The kit that I purchased had a foam filter about the size of my finger nail and a little black cap. I didn't use those two pieces because I couldn't figure out where they went. We have the same car, did your kit come with those? And did you use them? Thanks,
