Now, as for the CL...I'm trying to find a way to get it from here(Virginia) to Jersey so I can part it out...otherwise I'll be selling her to a junkyard for mad cheap...ideas anyone?

What exactly happened to it anyway? and y are the beamers headlights so foggy?

Autotragic transmission blew up. It doesn't have a 4th gear anymore...

And yes, the bimmer's headlights are weathered real bad. I'll fix that when I get home in the summer..

he is right, with the newer and latest designs bmw has now for the 3 series and with the newer designs for those in its class such as lexus is and benz c class and even the g35, that 01 325 looks ancient.. nice car either way, but in the comparison between an 01 325 and an 03 cl, the cl wins imo

nice pick, love the BM's but dont be surprise when u spend over a 130 bucks just for an oil change. i like the color too

 

Yeah, I'm not really looking forward to the maintenance costs of the bimmer but I love the E46 and I got a great deal on this one so I grabbed it while I could.

By the way, I'm not holding up any dibs in this thread because I don't know what I'm doing with the car yet. I'm looking for somebody to buy the whole car and/or tow it up to Jersey. But, this isn't a part out or for sale thread. I'll make one of those (or not) when I find out what's happening with the car.

I'd love more opinions on my purchase though. Details on the purchase were as follows:
$7800 + new brakes, new drivers side mirror, new oil sensor
Which raised the price to $9000, talked down to $8200.
OTD for about $9k.

If you have an SUV which you can tow with, contact a moving company and see if they have car dollies. If they do, rent one and tow it up..

 

The only SUV I can use is my dads, and it has a blown head gasket.

Alright guys, I ended up donating the car. I was able to pull the following things off it:

-Front WW Lip
-AEM CAI w/ AEM filter
-97 Grill
-Rear emblems
-18" Racing Hart Type C2's

This isn't a for sale thread by the way! I'll be making one in 2 weeks when I get home. This is just a heads up in case people need to put together some cash.

The lip does NOT have that sticker on it anymore, that was a phase i went through for about a week. There's no sign that it was ever there.

The transmission took a crap on me a while ago, then it REALLY took a crap on me when I decided to try to drive it (bad idea). I ended up having to push my car back to campus, with the help of some friends.

nice bimmer. FYI he had basically the same bimmer at my dealership, let me tell you those AWD bimmers are gas guzzlers. but nonetheless im sure you'll love the car.

 

for that price i would have gotten a 2nd gen cl much better than that bimmer.

 

Yeah, I know. I loved the CL but I really didn't have much choice but to get rid of it. And I know this beast is a gasguzzler which isn't that great. The good news I'm getting a decent paying job thats only a 5 minute walk from my buddies house, so I'm gonna live there this summer.

Also, first thing I'm doing is lowering the xi...way too high...

 

i would change those wheels too, with some other OEM BMW wheels.

 

Definitely, that's the last thing on my list though. I'm lowering it on H&R sport springs for a decent drop. My list is:

Drop
swapping out the amber lights (tails,corners,sides) for smoked/clears
short shifter
intake
exhaust
new front bumper, either Mtech II or CSL V1 rep
wheels, probably 18 or 19" CSL reps

 

sucks you didnt get this car a few months ago. my boy just sold his BBS LM knockoffs, and his polished "style 5's" with strechted falken ziex tires.
