I Have A 97 Cl 2.2 I've Noticed This Buzzing Sound That Seems To Be Just Behind The Dash, It Happens When I Start The Car And Off And On When I'm Driving. I Also Notice That At Nite The Dashboard Lights Will Dimm Slightly When It Buzz. The Buzz Last Up To 8 Sec. Please Help

 

Have you taken apart the dash before? Maybe its a screw or something thats loose and its rattling when the car loses power (lights dim)...

what i mean to say is:

*alternator (or something) is bad and screw is loose...when engine doesnt get power it lowers in rpm causing the car to shake therefore causing the loose part in the dash to rattle or "buzz"...

or maybe theres a bad connection somehwere...does it smell burnt?

 

97s all buzz.. its actually the brakes.. the only way you can fix it is by replacing everything hyrdolic.. dont even worry about it!! everyone has that problem..

its the abs pump in the hood, probably its a bad sensor which causes the pump to react

 

so what you're saying is it has something to do with my ABS? i was going to get this checked anyway cause the abs light started coming on about three weeks ago.

 

it will do it anyway whether your abs light is on or not...
