Buying Used 1997 - help

I am looking at a 1997 CL 2.2 (not premium) with 122k miles. 1 owner, clean condition, not mint. Mechanically great & well maintained. Tires & breaks are fine. Any thoughts on a fair price to a private party, not a dealer? Any particular things/problems i should look for regarding this model? Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

Is that a manual or automatic?

5 speed, dark green with gray cloth. No spoiler. It has mud guards & wind deflector at sunroof. Do you think would be to harmful to do any mods to the engine (CAI, headers, etc.)?

Without getting real detailed Kelley Blue Book says about $7,100.
Offer $6,500 and see what they say. That's not an offensive offer for the base '97 CL with that many miles.
Mods are up to you.....go crazy

Thanks for the help with the pricing. They want $6100. I am going to get it.
Mods wise - i just wondered if puting headers, etc. on the 2.2 with that many miles is something that most of the CL members would/would not recommend. Anyone?
Again, thanks.

You should be fine. 122K really is not as much as it seems.

I would go for a turbo though, but headers should be fine.

Not to sound like a total idiot "Joeshmoe", but i was not aware we could put a turbo on this model. If you were being serious, what do you recomend for 2.2?
