The door speakers you can just unscrew after removing the speaker grills. Be careful of the depth you get for new speakers, the 6.5" that are in there are tiny as hell. The tweeters on your dash, you can just pop up with a small flat head screw driver. The 6x9's are a pain, you have to unscrew the 3 screws in the trunk underneath the deck to remove the grills, then remove the 4 hex screws that hold each 6x9 in. I had to get depth extenders because my speakers for the doors and deck were too beefy.

I have infinity reference 5.25"s in doors and and 6 by nines in back (3 ways) and tweeters up front and they fuckin scream crystal clear.
The best bet is to go to a car stereo store (several, actually) with employees who know what they are talking about to compare the brands. Different brands have different distinct sounds. Infinitys, for example, have silk tweeters, that will sound much different than say Alpine's, which have a brighter sound. Anyway, after you go store to store and figure out what you want, go online and find them and save a ton. Trust me.
One more thing- be sure to hear them with and without the amp if you plan on using only your deck to power them. They will sound completely different.

I'd suggest some of these alpines: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-OMeiu6s...0&I=500SPS690A
Especially if youre going for the subs. They have nice highs if you want to balance out the bass.

My system before some of it got stolen was awesome and I got it for $820 total brand new before shipping and that includes HU, 6.5's, 6x9's, 2 amps, and 2 10inch subs. I bought Pioneer everything except for the amps. The amps were JBL. I bought all my stuff from thezeb.com and etronics.com.
Alot of people badmouth anything from Pioneer that aren't Headunits but they are an extremely good value company except for amps. Heck, my 2 subs (before they were stolen) were $40 dollar single voice coil pioneer subs, and you would expect them to sound like sh*t but I heard them in somebodies car and I thought they sounded good so I got them and the bass was real good. Tight and deep. Pioneer amps really do suck, or at all that i've encountered.
Man, my cousins and friends all have systems in their cars and mines blew away all the systems that were in the budget range and was on par with my cousin who had a $2,000 dollar system and one of my friends who spent OVER $2,000.

They just pop out, and yes you have to take the door panel off for the 6.5's
