Broken Lock

I had my stereo installed this past week and the guy who installed it brought this to my attention. The lock on passenger side doesn't work when I use the lock switch. The actually little chrome switch seems to be functioning ok but when I lock the doors the door lock doesn't move so I have to manually lock it (not a big deal but a pain in the ass espically if I forget to do it). Does anyone know what might have caused this? The audio guy said he didn't go into my door but it seems weird that all of a sudden it stopped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Possibly a loose connection to the lock actuator... or even a dead actuator... the control rod may have come off the actuator or the latch assembly... theres a lot of different things it could be.

Good call, I just got back from a local shop and thats what they said it was and ordered me a new one. The also fixed my mysterious broken passenger side front seat, there was a nickle stuck in the track, so thanks for the help guys.

Those damn wooden nickels!

Glad you got your door fixed. Hate to read the next post saying you were violated by a car thief.
