Broken Check Engine Light?
When I turn the ignition on, neither the check engine or srs light come on. Yesterday I pulled the instrument cluster and got as far as the point where I need to undo 15 or so screws on the circuit board on the back of the cluster to get at the bulbs to check them out. I ran outta time and had to put it all back together.
I figure a crooked mechanic used by the former owner of my car found a easy fix for a check engine light. I know I shoulda checked that before I bought the car.
In any case before I dig back into the instrument cluster, I thought I would ask if anyone knows of a quick and dirty disconnect that might be pulled? or a fuse? Something more simple?
Oh yeah, and while I am pulling the cluster should I take pics of the process for the howtos? The instructions I found with the search are pretty good, but maybe some might like pics.

Maybe I am lazy, but it seems like a lot of work for a stupid lightbulb.
