Acuraautomotiveparts.org has the cat for 374 + ship for the 2.3. What do you have? Your cheapest route that will pass emissions would be to buy a Carsound cat and have it fitted by an exhaust shop.

i'm too lazy to earch for it, but last month sometime someone had a similar question, and a guy left a link that had like 4 converters, all under $100. might need to do a little retrofitting, but its better than being raped by the dealer

acura should cover it under the extended warranty on the emissions parts. egr valve, o2 sensors and almost everything exhaust. ask them first.

If its' a rattling sound and its right near the cat.. yeah dood. you're gonna have to replace that FAST, there is a beehive looking thing inside that will break off with time. I had the same thing happen to me, but luckly I got that taken care of before anything bad happend. Try your local motorsports shop and ask for a cat replacement. SRD here in Phoneix got me a Hi-Flow cat installed and everything for 200 flat, and a very good job and could tell that I really needed a new cat. Thats my advice to you man.

or you could jack it up and check to see if it is just the heat shield that is rattling. I know on civics and accords.....eventually the heatshield becomes loose and rattles at a certain rpm. Happened to my g/f's civic and i tore it off in about 5 seconds with a hammer. No harm done , it is only a heat shield.

check that out first. Then check to see any broken sensors.

As for the catylitic converter.......you can get the catco one for like $70 at summitracing.com
