Broke Front Axle

So I've had everything hooked up for about a week now. For those who forgot/don't know check my sig. I got a NOS wet shot 2 stage and everthings been cool. Except for the weather which has hindered me takin it to the track and runnin a time slip. Definate 12's though i think. So finally the weather stoped rainin/snowin and i hooked it up on this strip. I've had it floored and punched a few times and everthing went cool---fast as hellllll!!!!! 150 ponnies will break your neck! But, But But But, i'm racin a TA and winning when i hear Snap crackle Pop and there goes my front axle. I'm lucky it didn't really screw much up. So just thought you all should know i'm back in the shop and on the look out for some kinda high performance axle. I've had too much custom stuff that's put me in the hole as it is. well there you go.

Damn son, with the amount of $$ you are putting in on this, you could have bought a stock car that could turn sub 13's :-)

How does the car ride? Do you feel any vibrations anywhere. I take it the install wasn't too hard then? Which mounts where used for the setup?

Well to answer a few, the price was probably too high but that's my fault for NOT doing my homework. You see i'm not much of a mechanic--not at all. I had a mechanic do all the work and he kept running into things that had to be bought. It was a mess and i seriously would only advise it to people who have money (not me now!) and who know what they're doing, and patient people, and ummm maybe a bit dumb??? LOL. well the car rides smooth and the AEM ECU has really really helped a lot. I'm gonna have it dynoed so i can post power. The axle broke with the auto tranny in. No harm done to the tranny. I'm not sure about fastest CL but we'll see!!!!!!!!! Oh anyone wanna contribute to the tire fund?? i'm burnin my uppppppppppp!!!

Wait you lost me on that post.. You said that the axel broke on the automatic?
The axle broke with the auto tranny in. No harm done to the tranny.
Was it broken before you threw in the 6speed?

Which axels, hub and knuckle assembly did you use? The 1st gen's? Did you use the rear mount from the type-S? Reason being that the rear mount on the 6-speed connects to the tranny housing and the engine. Thanks

Hoff, how much did they shave off your head? I'm pulling the head off and figured this would be a good time to send it in for some machine work.

Also, what did you pay for your pistons so I have a basis of what I should be paying.
