Brakes

Without going crazy with money, What will be a good set of brake pads and rotors will work best with a 99 3.0?

Our stock rotors are about 60.00 each. I think if I shop around I can find some cross-drilled ones for the same price.

You could always go with Power Slot Rotors....

Check out www.powerslot.com

also take a look at www.nopionline.com

Hey check out comptech. They have cross-drilled rotors and brake bakes for the first gen CL.
http://solar.innercite.com/comptech/brakes4.html

Brembo does make a brake upgrade for the 1st gen CL's. Its expensive though.

Its like they said though...only for the 97 not for the 99 at comptech.

Yeah nopionline has something from brembo but just not sure what...I have been so tapped for money I can't even afford the 40 bucks to find out.

They also have SS Brake lines, but I heard some bad stuff about SS lines. Something about them splitting and stuff...rubbing against something else. I don't know..it got me worried about getting them.

Well...comptech is not offering anything other than the brembo big brake kit. There is no difference...so in saying that. yes brembo does make a kit for 98-99 CL's, but he said that he didn't want to pay crazy amounts..over 1k! Hopefully the rotors on nopi are okay ones. They are only drilled and not slotted so they aren't the same as the ones that come in the kit.
