Ever since then it through me off track with maintence and keeping the car up the brakes got so bad the front pad slipped and jammed up. Anyway new caliper, bracket, pads and rotors going on today however I cant seem to get the rotor off the hub. Tips please?

Totally Different Way?

Ok, after sitting down and thinking a while. I just knocked the spindle? or whatever goes through the rotor back enough to get to the four nuts behind it with a 12mm offset wrench. then i put a pully and pushed it through the back. after that the rotor came off i changed it easily and put it all back on. Now the question is, do i need to bleed the breaks and how thoroughly

Yes you do, very thoroughly unless you don't like stopping

bleed them until there are no air bubbles, and then bleed a little more. Brake fluid is cheap, brakes failing on the road are not.
