Brake Clanking??
Brake Clanking??
Every time that I apply my brakes at any speed under 30mph, my brakes clank. It is loud and sometimes only clanks once or a couple times. Has anyone else experienced it? Also, what do you all think it could be? Could it mean my pads are really worn down or what? The braking is fine, there is just that noise. Thanks for the help.
But maybe replacing rotors is a good thing. Get some slotted! A "Clanking" noise does not sound like it would be worn pads. That would be a grinding, sqeeking, or scratching noise. It sounds like something is loose. Try taking your wheels off and see if the bolts that hold your caliper onto the hub are tight. My best advise is to take your wheel(s) off and compare the two fron wheels and see if you see anything abnormal.
same thing happens to me once in awhile right before i start driving....i know its not my brakes bc i replaced them with oem brake pads about 3months ago....so what is it?
oh yeah comes from ds brakes

and if they are worn that bad, better get to changing them before it scars up your rotors
