Bought the replacement for the CL

Well, I was out looking at TL's today and i stumbled across a gorgeous car and absolutlely fell in love with it. My friend and I were down at the auction (he buys cars there for me) and i was lookin at a white 99 3.2 TL with navi, but then i laid eyes on my newest possession. Its a 1994 Nissan 300ZX. It's a twin turbo, 5 speed with 47,000 miles! Thats right. 47k! It's pearl white, not a scratch on it, with tan leather interior. It was a repo I guess, and my friend says we should have it for around 6000. I can't wait! Insurance = through the roof. Chick factor = through the roof. This is gonna kick ass. He's also getting me a bumper to bumper warranty that goes to 100k miles. And, it covers the turbos whice have to be replaced at 90k! God I'm so giddy. I'm goin down there to take pics tomorrow, I'll post em as soon as I get em!

Your a dick!!!! :P I hope its actually 147,000 miles.

I can't believe u got it for $6K. Iwas actually looking for one before the CL. I couldn't find any for under $12K and those still had around 100,000 miles on it.

Those dealer auctions are awesome. I was at one yesterday with one of my friends thats a dealer looking for a car for my GF. I saw a '99 2.3 CL with 25k miles sell for $8,000.00 even. I wish I would of bought my CL for that price. I also saw a BMW Z8 sell for $102,000.00. If your got your Z on your first time to the auctions your really lucky. I gone like 3 times allready and I still havent found the right car. Even when the sell 5,000+ cars. Good luck with your car.

Hey guys thanks for the input.

I've been to the auctions a few times. Matter of fact, I got my CL at the same one. I had my buddy run a carfax on it and it came up without any problems. No rollbacks, no salvage, no nothing! SICK. Yea they are beautiful. We're going back as soon as he gets here to start it up and shit. He says 6k, and I hope thats the price, but I'm willing to go up to 10k for his beast. I've looked at a lot of em before I got the CL, and they all have been driven into the ground. Carfax says the car was registered in New York from 93-00, and then Ca from 00 on. Yea, I was sketchy on the 47k till carfax...now its full steam ahead! Be back with pics in a lil bit!

Great deal if you can get it. Hope that's not just the listing price and some others bid super high on it.
Hope you get it.
Good Luck!

Well, it tuirned out sour. The car had a phat engine knock and the turbos seemed shot. CARFAX was clear, but someone drove the shit out of it for those 4X,xxx miles. So, I didn't get it. But now I have begun a manhunt!
