My friend works at Pep Boys, he tells me he can get me a Bosch Alternator (Remanufactered) for 110.00.

Is this a good deal? Are they any good?, anyone have one?

I don't really need one but I figure it can't hurt to change it out 1000w kicker amp doesnt really help my old one too much

What exactly does Remanufactered mean, is that alright?

 

depends if its remanufactured with all new parts or they fixed only what they assumed what was wrong with it.. dont worry too much if it has a lifetime warenty

 

I have a bosch platinum alt in mine and it runs great and what that re-manufactured means is it was sent back to the manufacturer and refurbished, tested, then send back out. I got a new one but I would think that it would be ok but then again, who knows...

 

Put it this way, it's a deccent price for a reman bosch. Bosch are good alternators. If it's been rebuilt, and has lifetime warranty, doesn't sound like a bad deal.

 

yeah that sounds like a real good price. arent new honda alternators around $300? i think most of the time remanufactured just means new bearings
