The thing is that 7th gen Accord ALREADY has factory LEDs in the gauges so that they're lit up more evenly and bright while our CLs have regular halogen bulbs. I'm not too sure whether they would end up like they look in the picture. Someone should try it though.

leds dont generally burn out quickly. if a led light burns out, its the poorly designed (but stupidly enough, extremely simple) circuitry in the bulb retrofit socket thing. if leds really did burn out quickly, would honda solder them into the new dashboards, making them almost impossible to replace? leds should actually have much longer lifespans than most light bulbs, as long as you dont put too much current through them.

I caution First Gens against this: Here is why. I did this exact thing on my 1993 Honda prelude, I pulled out the gauge cluster and swapped in the 94-96 electrolumencent gauges (much like everyone is using todays) THESE GAUGES ARE MUCH BRIGHTER. The bulbs that our generation CL's use WILL NOT

WILL NOT WORK ON OUR NON-ELECTROLUMINCENT GAUGE CLUSTERS

The bulbs that our generation CL's use WILL NOT work. The gauges tis will work on are the kinds that are illuminated during the day (electrolumincent), and dim when you turn on the lights for night time use. Our are the exact opposite. There are no lights on during day time use, and the lights illuminate when we turn on our headlights. Adding this later of acetate will not allow enough light to pass though because we dont have the electrolumenecent gauge clusters that are common on most honda/acura vehicles today. In my experience in doing this to both different types of gauges clusters on the same car, it will dim out lights out too much. you will get the blue tone to it but you will lose the brightness.
questions... ask away.
