Today I popped my hood just to check something...And I notice there was 2 blue caps sitting on my BATTERY. I just screwed them on with my finger? How did they come off? And How were they just sitting on my battery?

Is some1 fuckin with me?
Did the shop take them off, and why?
How can they be sitting on my battery after driving for days?
And is there any damage of having these off? What do they do?
Which goes where I just put them on but one says H and one says L?

 

BTW, Its not linked to the manifold, I just wanted to point to both of the caps that were sitting on top of the battery.

Thankz bro, ya my car had freon added last week or so. Did it do any damage to have the caps off? And isnt it a little weird they were still on my battery after over a week of driving the beast.

 

it wont hurt anything to have them off for a short period. they are just to make sure dirt and grime doesnt collect in the nozzles.

 

Just make sure you don't make it too tight, if you do the refrigerant will leak out.

Btw: the H cap goes on the smaller line, and the L cap goes on the bigger one.

BTW, I did the total opposite of what you just said.

I made them really tight. And I put them in the wrong spot. I just drove for like a hour or so how bad is that? If i had them on wrong, and tight?!

 

Wait actually I did put them right, I figured it stood for HIGH and LOW. Because one is higher then the other...Hahah I made them tight as can be though

 

As long as your a/c is working it didn't do any damage. If you tighten it too tight, the coolant will leak out.

 

If It makes a difference I only use the A/C maybe once a month, if that...
