Blowing Headlights

The right headlight bulb (9006) on my 98 CL keeps blowing out. Any suggestions? Could a short in the wiring cause this?

my right low beam bulb blew (literally was shattered into dust) a few months after I got my CL. I replaced the lowbeam bulbs w/ sylvania cool blue bulbs, and neither has burned out yet. I don't know why the stock one shattered and didn't just burn out.

I had the same problem. Turned out my voltage was pumped up to 18V. I was shocked. After dealer changed alternator it came back to 12V. It all started with 'Maint. Check'. Than 'SRS'. Dealer had to replace SRS computer. Thanks GOD I purchased extended warr. Repairs would have cost me around $1500.

Suggestion, check your voltage; make your dealer check the car for you.

Good luck!

WOW, I just blew my right low beam bulb like two days ago. I will definitely check the voltage then. Thanks.

My Razo Superwhites just blew out yesterday (both of them)... I'm not sure whether its the alternator or the fact that they operated at 80W and were on for like 12 hours straight (road trip to ft. laurderdale). One bulb actually shattered. Now i have "GE super blues" which arent white or blue at all.

Actually I heard something about Razo's always blowing. I liked the look of them and did a little research...I found that a lot of their customer's were having troubles with the bulbs just going out...not sure why, but it stopped me from buying them. Sorry
