The Big Bad V6 Turbo Post

I posted this in the other thread (about turbo headers) but I'll give this it's own thread so maybe I can inspire one of you V6 Owner that actually is not a poor struggling college student like me. (I won't be one forever, and then it's on).

$520 Brand new Garrett T3/T4 EBAY LINK

$361 Spearco Intercooler (Universal 4.5"D x 10.125"W x 4.5"H) Link

$170 Greddy Blow-Off Valve
Ebay Link

$210 Polished Tial Wastegate Ebay Link

$290 Greddy Profec B Spec 2 Electronic Boost Controller
Ebay Link

$85 Greddy Turbo Timer
Ebay Link

$160 Vortech FMU
Ebay Link

These prices include shipping and it all adds up to just under $1800. These parts are for the most part good quality and this includes all the major components except for the turbo headers which would have to be custom made. So find a shop to make the custom headers, the proper piping (i.e. to intercooler) and the install and get the little odds and ends (oil return line, hoses, fuel pump, etc.) and buy a real good tranny cooler to keep your tranny alive for at least alittle while so you can save up for the Dr. Evil Tranny. Once you get that, turn up the boost do your photo shot for Honda Tuning Magazine and be the envy of us all!!!!

niiice, don't forget about the exhaust system you'll need....you want about a 3inch piping either that or you can get a exhaust cut off, run it straight from your downpipe..plus turbo will sound so sweeeeeet...some one please do a turbo setup and inspire all of us.

if any of you guys are from around the Bay and have the money to do this please visit Blactrax.net

aside from that though, looks like an all around good setup. I'm only gonna be a poor college student for another week, then it's full time at my job, makin salary. I may be the guinea pig for this, we'll see. After I'm done with college, and am not a broke college student, after graduation next week.

well, you'll probably need a IC that has both the in and out connections on the same side, or you'll be wasting some piping to go around the other side. you don't need the $300 boost controller either. you could probably get away with the emanage and just using a spring to control the boost.

Maybe a profec E-01 could be a good choice since it offers fuel managment and Boost Control. They go for just under $500 (shipped) on Ebay.

The Profec E-01 is a boost controller and a data display monitor for the E-Manage.

The E-Manage is the fuel computer.

Add them together (Profec E-01 + E-Manage), and you'll have a very handy dandy combo. I bought both of them from ebay as a complete package (everything needed to monitor boost and other functions) for 600$ used and in immaculate condition.

Yo, I see your from Perth Amboy. I got family over there. Do you know Rosa, Arlene, or Danny Pena.

Rosa graduated from highschool like 6 years ago, Arlene graduated from highschool last year, and Danny is like a junior in highschool.
