which is better
ceramic coated header's finish is dull in appearence and doesn't discolor like shiny chrome looking ones, only diffence is looks,
not forsure but cermaic coated might help keep the heat in the header instead of radiating into the engine bay but not enough diffence to care

yeah you just need to relax, dont expect immediate answers to all your questions. Just because your thread has been viewed 10 times since your post doesnt mean they knew the answer. Google is an excellent tool, way quicker answers too
Think logically...ceramic has better heat management properties and might not expand and contract as much as steel but might not expand/contract with your manifold and crack. Stainless will not oxidize as readily as other alloys and such. that is my best answer

I have spent too much time around dirtbikes and cars my whole life this just comes naturally. And to anyone who is a true academic and is capable of thinking a little harder can come to some good answers without searching. Obviously there are some guys that want a quick fix to their cars for extra HP and disappear immediately
. Glad to be a part of the forum tho

Ceramic coated headers are made of mild steel, which is why they're cheaper. They're coated to keep them from rusting. After a few years you'll start to notice it around the flanges.
The stainless ones won't rust but will tarnish if you touch them with your bare hands. I kept mine clean and installed it with gloves so they turned gold after a few days and are still like that after 3 years.

To answer the op, sometimes, people will actually put a ceramic coat on their stainless header, because of its heat retaining capabilities.
(NOT MY INFO BELOW).....but keep in mind jet coated is better imo....
Ceramic-coating was initially developed for the aerospace industry and, like powdercoat, it found its way into the automotive hobby. It's essentially a high-solid paint product that's concentrated with ceramic powder and provides a durable finish that reduces heat transfer when cured. It also inhibits corrosion and makes metals last longer, resists most stains, and is impervious to oil and fuel. In fact, very little sticks to it.
