Best way to drop a 2.2CL

I have a auto 2.2 CL, what is the best way to drop my car?

I want to stay as close as I can to a smooth factory ride, any suggestions?

Go with an Eibach Prokit or Eibach Sportline Kit. For your car the Prokit application should give a 1.3-1.4 inch drop and the Sportline will be around 1.6-1.8 inch drop and you can stick with your factory struts with either one. Ride will be almost as smooth as stock. You can try lightspeed or neuspeed springs but those are a bit more agressive drop and you will more than likely have to replace the struts with them due to the fact they will wear out the factory struts pretty fast. Any kind of coil-overs you buy will require you to change the struts and more than likely have to get a camber kit and the ride will end up being a bit bouncy and you will get alot of jars when you hit stuff like potholes/big rocks/road reflectors/manapua ( the last one is for the hawaii peeps lol. they know what I'm talking about ).

Eibach website is http://www.eibach.com/index1.htm

Personally if your just going with springs and dont want to mess with coilovers Eibach is the way to go. I think most people on this site that didn't go with coilovers went with an Eibach setup.

you MUST replace your struts with the sportlines, dont even bother waiting for them to blow, and the drop will be about 2 inches after they are settled. Ghander has them and they are way below a 1.8 inch drop.

For the best ride quality with a small drop get Eibach prokit and replace your struts with Koni, KYB, or tokico.

CLUofI does Ghander have the 3.0 model and put the sportline springs rated for the 2.2 on it?

True. Although I'm riding on pro-kits and stock shocks the ride is so close to stock I'm glad I didn't replace my shocks. But if you do get shocks don't get tokico. I heard they suck. Most everyone choose Koni's if you've got the money or KYB if you're a cheap bastard.

O yeah the pro-kit will drop at most 1.5" and sportlines closer to 2" if not more.
