there is no "best" bulb. Unless you are comparing between HID and Halogen, then HID's would be the best. For Halogen, some people have been happy with Luminics Bulbs and Nokya.

Nokya's are more blue than white, especially compared to silverstars.
I loved my artic white stage 2 nokya's, but they are not bright, and you loose a lot of light, cuz of the blue.

I need to be able to see what's in front of me because I drive on pitch black rodes.

I have the coolblue i think, which are bright white, but if i weren't going hid, i'd probably go silverstar. Personally I like the PIAA's better, so that's what i'd recommend overall, but I don't have them. I do have piaa's in all my corners though
all i know is PIAA is expensive and they have a 6month warranty on it. It could go out as fast as all the other helogen bulbs. Nokya acutally been good to me. both set i've got ran over a year. still running on my 2nd one and its probably been running for about 2 years now.

i had stage two too along time ago...the housing gets hot..kinda left rainbow marks around the hole....up to you...
I've always used PIAA Plasma GT-X bulbs... They are pretty pricey, but have a one year warranty. I went through 3 sets in about a year and a half and only paid for one. Overall I don't think that's a bad deal, and it evens out compared to the bulbs with a little less output that last longer. That's just my opinion though.

This is honestly the first time I've ever heard good things about Silverstars, I'm actually surprised.
The problem that I've seen/heard about HIDs is that you buy the kit without a retrofit and then it blinds other drivers and visibility may also decrease because these headlights are not designed for HIDs.

Sorry for the double post.

I have NOKYA Arctic Whites, but only the 80W, not stage II. Those 120Watt bulbs will ruin your lamp lenses. They get too hot. And there really isn't that much gain. I've liked my Nokya bulbs, but sometimes I think they are too dim when compared to other cars. I notice that in traffic I see the other headlights around mine. One thing I do like, they do not create glare on rain-covered roads. Does make it easier to see the road, but the dimness impeeds distance viewing. To be honest, BLUE is a terrible color for the human eye. Your eyes do not perceive blue as readily because of the faster wave lengths. But they are
looking for sure.
Good luck.
