Ok guys "not that I expected to win", but I raced a 04 Honda Accord Ex the other night and got my doors blown away. He claimed he had the J30A4 engine "240HP?" Anyways Ive said before I dont really know much about things that will help me in increasing my Horses. But what do you guys think I could add in the "$500-600" price range that'll gimme about 40-50 Horses? Thanks in advance

 

 

Eh. I was tryin to avoid NOS. Although the only thing I need is a new bottle. My mom had NOS in it, took it out when I got it lol. But I was thinking along lines of performance chip "do they work"? My cold air intake is on order now, and from there Im lost, A new exhaust is too expensive! However I do want a better Muffler, but I dont want that ricey sound. Anyone know of a muffler that has a deep rumble, and dual tips? HEHE

 

50 hp for 600$....not possible.
Intake, header, exhaust will give you 10 in total, if that. and thats about 800$ if you buy new.
the 3.0 is not a race car, has no manual tranny swap available and has the brokedick tranny. you're shit out of luck.

 

A turbo or comptech SC will run you 4-5 grand easy and that's the easiest way to get 50 HP

Like the n00b guide says, easiest perf mods for the CL are Intake/Headers/Exhaust/Pullies

Or buy a faster car

 

to that Dicorp. Get intake,headers,exhaust,pullies,helix throttle body spacer and NOS and you'll be pretty quick. Thats the setup Dustbuster had back in teh day and he was pretty fast. oh and dont forget the tranny cooler LOL.

I've ran a 6 speed accord before with my 3.0 and basic bolt ons (no nitrous). Lost by 1/2 a car. He got me off the line and never pulled away.

 

Yes my mom had Nos in the car before I got it, not the drink lol. There have been a few of those since I got it though. My mom isnt but 34, so she races a little, she had the Nos put in her BMW, and had a intake put in it! But I might do that after I move out, my mom will not allow me to have Nos! I aint but 17 lol.

but seriously. NOS would probably be the only thing that is in your price range. but thats excluding installation. engine swaps, turbo, ETHENOL TURBO (hahahha you should check out ethenols setup. i swear youll nut your pants quick.), etc. i mean all that stuff is real expensive...

Oh I have an intense racing story!! I was on 495N the other day heading to the beach and I spotted this ridiculous WRX rollin up ahead, so i pulled up real slow... Looked at him, then kept driving... He let me get about 5 cars ahead in the fast lane, then he FLEW by me, Needless to say, I didn't even bother. haha. Anything i can get to compete with that for $500 hahahaha jk.
