Battery Problems

The car has been acting stupid again. It seems like every other day I get in the car the battery is almost dead....It is dead enough for the dash clock to loose its memory but not the radio stations? But the thing still starts if I hold the key all the way for like 15 seconds. It seems as if it builds power as it cranks. The battery is like 2 weeks old, the old battery wouldnt fully charge. Does this sound like an altinator to anyone? And how can I check to see if it is infact the altinator? I am disconnecting all wires I have comming from the battery every night but it still seems to act up every other day. Mabey it doesnt charge and I only drive about a mile a day. ANyone have any ideas.

its the alternator take the battery to kregans or an autozone or other car parts store in the area and have the battery to be checked out. mine i did the same but replace the alternator witha 180 amp on and a acura battery with a 5 year warrenty its pushing 680 cold cranking amps.

My new battery has the same specs as your new one, I have an appt at the dealer on the 25th to have to alternator looked at, mine is still under warranty. Hopefully it will last until then and they can fix it fast.
