Battery Problems
Has anyone had one? Mines just gave out yesterday at only 31k miles. Could this be linked to anything...like aem cai or cheap hyperwhite bulbs I just put in a month ago. Acura charged $79.99 if you had the warranty (which i did) and without it $129.99<<what a rip off.

My battery died @ 60,000 miles. I'm running factory fog lights and (2) 1400 watt amps. Every time the cooling fan kicked on, my lights dimmed! I just installed a high amp alternator along with the new battery.

Had to get myself a new battery a few weeks ago, went on a trip for 2 months, came back, and the battery was dead. (obviously). When I tried recharging it with a car battery charger, it just wouldn't hold the charge anymore, so ended up getting a battery. Batteries here are a little cheaper. $90CDN, comes out to about $60US for an ACURA battery. I wonder what company makes them? AC DELCO?
Anyways, your battery problem cannot be attributed to your AIR INTAKE, has nothing to do with it, or with the cheap bulbs you bought. Did you try recharging your battery? Are you sure it was dead? Maybe it's a problem with the electrical system? I had to get my alternator replaced (under warranty) this summer, it was making noise, and it wasn't charging my battery problem. If your battery dies out again, check the alternator...
As for the lights dimming with the 2 AMPs connected, what's your new alternator rated it? Where'd you get it??? How many amps is ours rated at? I guess if you add a few things you don't need to change it. I have a regular (300W I think) AMP and it works just fine.

Alternator
I believe that our stock alternator is 100 amp.
