Basic Questions about my 1999 CL
Sup guys, this is my first time posting on these forums. About three months ago, I purchased a 1999 3.0 CL. I got the car with 88k miles on it from a private party, I like the car... way better upgrade.
I don't know much about cars, almost damn near nothing so I need your guys help. I want to add a little power to the car so I was looking at other CL's on cardomain.com and it seemed like a lot of them had AEM cold air intakes. Are these rather easy to install (I have friends that could help) and will I notice a good increase in performance? Any recommendations on other mods that will increase performance off the line?
Also there was this car on the site that had a little silver 3.0 logo down by the door. Anyone know where you can purchase these or the Acura writing that some CL's have on the back left, opposite corner of the 3.0.
Thanks in advance, and any other advice post away!

Welcome I'm sure you'll enjoy your 3.0. As wilp said, def get headers and an intake. Pullies will also give you deccent gains. And a tranny cooler won't hurt. Enjoy the modding.

Alright, so what exactly will the headers do? Are they easy to install, I know little about cars as I said but my dad and lot of friends could help out.
Any estimate on how much HP the AEM intake adds to a stock cl?
Thanks for the fast reply Wilp, what transmission coolers are you using?

1.) Headers allow your motor to breath and exhale a lot better and add the most gains to your car. The install should be fairly straight forward if you have help, or the install would be pretty cheap if you paid someone
2.) AEM claims taht their intakes add up to 5 hp, all depends on many variables, you won't see any more than 4-5 hp if you're lucky but it does help your car and give a little more umph.
3.) Hayden tranny coolers are the ones that most people recommend, if you search on here, there are a couple other brands as well.
