Back Seat Removal

Hey Guys-

I did a search and I found a couple different posts about removing the back seats but I just can't get them out. The guy who is doing my stereo removed the bolts in like the crack of the seats but we can't get past the clips on the front of the bottom part of the seat (the part where the back of your knees would touch). I pulled up on both sides and those two tiny clips are exposed with metal loop that is attached to the actual seat, but I can't figure out how the undo the clips. I'd REALLY appreciate any help and sorry to be bringing this up again for the people who already know how to do it. Thanks

Melanie

It's been a while, but I remember undoing the clips like you would undo a safety pin. Just push the front of the clip towards the rear and pull up on the seat. I hope this is right.

I tried that acouple of times and the damn seat just won't come loose, I pushed the clip all the way back but it still won't come out. Maybe it's me, I don't know, hopefully the stereo guy can figure it out. Thanks

there are 2 bolts that hold the seat in, the bolts can be be found between the back and butt of the seat, they are under both sides of the arm rest, hope that helps

Those clips need to be pulled toward you. They stay in place until the seat gets put back into the car and lock again.

The stereo guy figured that out today when he had the car, I felt like a real big dumbass because I spent so much time yesterday trying to figure it out (I was pushing up) Thanks for the advice everyone.
