Axis Speed Six Wheels?

Just got my ride a few days ago and have been looking for excuses to dive it. I really like this car. I went rim shopping yesterday not really looking to buy but just see whats out there. I’m not a fan of the chrome wheels because of all the work that’s involved in keeping them all shinny, (I’m lazy). I saw Axis rims when I bought my car in a catolg at the dealer while I was waiting. The Axis Speed Six and the Alegis wheels both appeal to me because they look like stock wheels but just a little edgier then stock. I found both types at a local shop here in K.C. for $700 a set in a 19 inch wheel. Their on sale from Axis. What do you guys think? Anything I need to worry about with a 19 inch wheel? I almost bought them yesterday but held off the impulse buying urge. I’m leaning towards the Speed Six as my favorite.

Also the shop recommended a Nitto tire?? 235-30-19 or something like that. Are Nitto tires good?

If I had to pick the 2 worst rims on that page I would choose the ones you want for your CL. It is your car, but I want you to take some time and actually look that page over again and see if any of the other wheels appeal to you. Axis makes really nice wheels, but just not those 2 you picked. Sorry bud, just trying to save you from embarassment.

235-30-19???? you really dont want to do that. Your car will be soo messed up withthat setup. You have to go 225/35/19 thats what you want. Thats what i want too.

Why would it be soo messed up? I dont understand that at all! There are people who run 235 w/o probs - the only thing with that size is it is a TINY bit shorter than stock. See my post here -

Hey SooDark I appreciate your honesty. LOL! But like I said in my Post I like thinks to look stock with just a hint of difference. I'm not into all the chrome and flashy wheels. I transport some high dollar items with me to work everyday and occasionally have to leave them in the care. I need to have a car that fits the items I’m selling. Nothing to flashy that attracts attention when I’m back to see my clients every few weeks. I cant afford, (literally) to stand out. I liked those wheels when I thought they were $350 a piece so its not the money issue. Besides those four spoke :pee: Mag-lite’s and the :pee: TC Evolutions are dog poo-poo way before the ones I picked out would be.

and like I said I'm still shopping. WHAT’S UP WITH THE TIRES THEMSELVES... NITTO TIRES GOOD OR CRAP?

Nitto tires are great tires, they really stick to the road and hug corners. Only problem is, they only last about 10k. as for the tire size, my 19's are 225/35/19. 235's are just a little wide for our car. Everyone everywhere i went told me that, so i just stuck with the 225's. who knows, 235's might fit perfect.
