automatic sticks in reverse

Well it looks like I have to take the dear girl, my acura 97 cl 2.2, to the garage. It has started sticking at reverse when I shift up to park. It will eventually get to park and it doesnt stick at reverse when I shift back down. Has anyone had this issue before and what was done to fix it?

take the screw out of your shifter, and take it off, then put it back on nd make sure you push it down only to the point that the top of the pushkey(I am making up words) touches the shifter, because if you push it down to far you will be able to move through all your gears without pushing in the lock. That might be your problem, when i put in my new shifter i didnt push it down far enough nd it wouldnt go into first, now its pushed down to far nd drops into 2nd without holding in the lock. (but i like that). sorry if this didnt help.
