I saw in your sig you have a '98 CL with a '97 grille.

I know the '97 grille is two peices, is the '98/99 grille also? If so, do you only have to replace the inner peice?

The 98/99 grill is one piece, you can not do the mesh thingy to it.

I too have a '97 meshed grill on my '98.....I had traded with another dude on this forum......but be carefull if you do that. He sent his in shitty wrapping and it arrived cracked, then I called him like 20 times and he would never call me back.

I'm not interested in the Gutter Gaurd Grille, I like the looks of the '97 grille stock. Thanks for the info on the 98/99 one being one peice, now I know that I need both peices of the '97!

 

i sold ilikechheze my old grill and everythign worked out for him. the mounts were slightly damaged thanks to the body shop that fixed my hood. anyway yo i would like to see what u did with my old grill so post a pic when u get a chance

 

i did buy VXCLs old grill and it fitted perfectly and looks a lot better. the mounts wre damaged so i just rig something up. After an hour of searching in the garage for screws and 2 zip ties i managed to get it on perfectly. I changed my mind in the mesh b/c i think the factory look of the 97 looks very good. All i changed was the background color of the front "A" b/c VXCL painted it blue and i just went and painted it gray. Looks good tho. If u buy a grill from the factory, u will need all 3 pieces..trim..wing with A..and the plastic mesh. And of course if u buy it new than all the mounts and brackets should fit perfect. i have a 99 not a 98. ill correct it in my sig. Thanks..
