I have a burnt lens in my headlight, the 168 wedge lens, the thing is will I be able to replace that part somehow? without needing to buy a new headlamp? I have pics to follow, thing is I'm trying to do a projector conversion and see if I can salvage my passenger side since its only a lens that is burnt. Is the lens glued onto the front housing or is it removable, detachable, even repairable/replaceable?

how was it burned?

 

someone put a bulb in there that didn't quite fit... burnt the lens reflector, any ideas of this is salvagable, is the lens part removeable, can i replace it with buying an old headlight housing and placing that piece in?

 

no one knows anything??? all the black housing and retrofitters?

i'll try to get some tomorrow but basically its the diffuser lens or so in the wedge that is burnt, the front of the headlamp is unaffected, if you have opened your headlights up you have to know what i'm talking about, any one??

 

your gonna hev to find something on ebay. if i get what ur sayin you melted the clear corner inner lense. the relfector itself is fine? I have on extra lense, but i dont know for what side.

 

Maybe try a junk yard. Even if the headlight is damaged badly, that reflector/"clear corner lens" could still be mint. Just an idea

 

ahh ya I meleted the inner lense, if you have a spare how much are you willing to sell it for if it matches up to the one I need/ I need the passenger side one, and would need it in a somewhat decent time? I'm getting someone to do the retrofit to my headlights but its getting too costly to purchase another headlight right now, is that lens piece removable?
