I got a warranty extension in the mail from acura today. I dont doubt that this has been brought up b4 but just in case i thought i would post this. Apparently Acura came to an agreement in 98 w/ the EPA where our cars are covered under any emission equipment. Therefore as long as u have less than 150K you can go 2 an Acura Dealership and get your Emission Control System inspected along w/ Free oil change/filter, spark plugs/wires, and distributor cap/rotor... again its FREE!
I got one of these b4 but it didnt say ne thing about the free service... so unfortunately im already over the 150K limit...

 

where have you been, ive been talking about it since i bought my car.
i've had over $2,000 worth of parts and labor replaced under the warranty.

but yeah that one was put into effect not long ago, it was 10yr and i forget how many miles before.

 

It's 150k. I'm scheduled to go in Thursday. Fun thing is though, as I've mentioned in a few threads, I have a new speedo and no other proof (except the title) of how many miles! We'll see how this goes..

150k miles? or kilometers?? i always get confused when u american guys talk about milage because you use the word "K"..

does it apply for canadian vechiles??

 

we use the letter "K" not the word... and it means thousand... and you guys spell practice with an "s" like practise... alsdkflaskdfja

yeah, it was for all 95,96,97 acura's.

 

OK so what exactly is this all about, Ive got no idea what y'all are talking about, but it doesnt sound bad at all, id like some details, im pretty sure i havent paid for an extended warranty or anything like that either, so yeah.....

 

its a extended emissions warranty. if you have a cel that is related to emissions, take it in and they will fix it for free. this also includes if you dont pass an emissions test, take it to acura and they will fix whatever didnt pass the emissions.
i've had my cat replaced along with o2 sensors,tps,egr valve+cleaning the egr lines,had the distributor rebuilt twice. and also all that free stuff like the oil change,spark plugs,wires,cap,rotor.
