its not hard but the clip on the light is tricky to snap in. It can be frustrating. Just be sure to take out the radio tray and what not, so you have room to figit with.

The coin tray is not lit, the ashtray is lit by a #74 bulb

Gotchya, well either buy a new #74 bulb which you should be able to get at any parts store or online, or just quit smoking

no pulling out the wood trim, just the coin tray and/or the tray under the radio

i just swapped my 97 console with a 98-99, and i realized that the ashtray/lighter wiring is the opposite sex in this console.
i hooked back up the 97 wiring but now it's not working
it worked before i swapped consoles, and it's not wired to anything different.. i just changed the casing basically..
any idea what's wrong?

also, my clock isn't lighting up, and it might have just gotten pulled out when i was putting in the radio, but maybe it's the same problem?

i hope i didnt blow anything

If you blew a fuse, the radio and cig lighter wouldn't work either, I think the lights are on the same fuse as well, perhaps the wire got unhooked farther up by the clock instead of down below where you hooked it back in

I honestly don't know, I have only bought LED bulbs to put in there, but I'm sure any parts store will have them, if not them and make them buy you some

My interior is pretty shot, got most of it fixed up, but the leather is trashed, on the driver's seat
