Doesn't matter if it's used. Used parts are usually a steal. Go for it.

My friend's 440whp Evo has all used parts on it. From the rims, to the upgraded turbo kit. Hell, even his HKS cams are used...

Well, the only thing to worry about when buying a used muffler, is how old it is. The material inside of it can deteriate over time. But this is usually an issue with shitty no name mufflers. That would effect the sound quality of the muffler. But since you're looking at an Apexi, you're golden...

The material used, and the amount of it used is the only difference between $30 ebay mufflers, and $300 HKS mufflers. Well, also in how they shape and go about resonating the sound with the tubes they use. Which is what also gives it a distinctive sound.

But you get my point...

you're asking if a muffler with the word "megaphone" in it's name is loud?
