Anyone replaced their horn?

Has anyone replaced their wimpy little horn. Its so high pitched and well i just dont like it. Everyone time i went to NYC to get something form my mom at work they would park the car for me. They only had a one way ramp so they would blow the horn all the way down the ramp and it was so punny especilly compared to all the benz's. What has anyone replaced it with and is it hard Thanks

I haven't done mine yet, but I'm planning on replacing it with metal/ chrome airhorns. My stock horn is starting to die and I might as well replace it with an aftermarket one. Do you think the horn is covered under warranty?

I think it is. If dealer would say it is not, try at a different dealer.
The same way I have replaced gold lettering on my car. One of the dealers wouldn't do it.

One day an old dude in a land yauht tried to run my '99 Si off the road and he couldn't even hear my pathetic horn. So, I added a triple air horn set to the exsiting horn circuit and it was frightfully loud. Plus it was connected to the factory alarm. I plan on buying another air horn for the CL. It was only $30 and easy to install.

Yep, I have triple chrome air horns behind the bumper on the CL. Nice and loud, and musical too.

Get the Hella air horn. Its real loud. I think you might be able to run it parallel with the regular horn. My friend has a Thunderbird and when you tap the steering wheel the regular one works; but when you hold it, no one can miss the air horn.

That's what mine did too. It take a whole second for the electric air compressor to fully engage and pressurize the lines.

What everybody else said.

Edit: except you can achieve the same loudness and sound quality with a no name horn from the auto parts store without paying $60 something for a Hella.

Same loudness and quality of what the stock? If your telling me that you can match the sound that I want from an air horn, then I would consider it.. I want a particular sound that one of my boy has on his 5 series...

I need to take one off of a dump-truck. It would scare the shit out of the old people here in Florida. I love to piss them off!

What was Acura thinking when they put this horn on the car. It sounds really wimpy! I agree with you guys that it is wimpy, but what is this bull horn you guys are talking about? What does that sound like? Is it loud or what? I personnally like the horns on the Accords or on the other Acuras, but not the one on the CL. Maybe I'll get one from my old Accord. That one sounds better and at least my CL will still sound like a Acura or Honda horn.

Sorry, I meant that any 3 trumpet air horn will sound just like a $60 Hella.

I just bought the Hella three horn air horns and I am going to mount them in the wheel well. I am going to remove the lining in the wheel well so they will be hidden and extremely loud.

Our horn is pretty weak, but if you compare to a civic, ours has some balls.
