anyone know how the FIC works?

do you need to upgrade your MAP sensor in order to run boost? or does it run like the afc hack by scaling MAP back?

how come its possible to buy an obd2b to obd1 adapter harness, but clearly here we see 2 different pinouts for obd2b?
