Anyone here use a belt tension gauge

On the drive belts as outlined in the service manual? If so which one?
BTW I have a 2.3CL that is squeeky on start-up... I think it's time for new belts (they are about 80K old)...

change them. we recommend to change belts (honda) @ 80-90k. timing belt, balancer shaft belt, and all drive belts. one ghetto style way to get rid of the noise for now is to sand off the serpentine side of the belt a little. just use some pliers, a piece of sandpaper and a lot of care (do with car runnning).
belt tension.......heres a good way to tell. twist the belt side to side, if you can twist the belt 90 degrees, it's loose. you shouldn't be able to twist the belt very much under proper tension.

My timing belt was changed at 135K (ya I waited a little too long) along with my drive belts. That's a great tip on belt tension!

Here's a question on changing the drive belts (plan to do it this weekend). Seems like it's a tight fit between the main pully and the frame of the car. I'm sure once I get the belt off I'll be able to squeeze it off then back on. But just wondering if there is a trick or tip for doing this...

THANKS!

turn your tires to the left so that you can see where your pulley is then just slide the belt(s) in from under there.
