anyone changed their front wheel bearing before?

my car started making a humming/ squeaky noise. i kno its the bearings or axel. i

already kno how to change my axels but im unsure how to change my wheel

bearing. is there a certain tool i should get before i take apart my car? any tips/

pointers from those who know what im talking about?

Bearings suck. They're expensive.. got my mechanics to change mine out... they were so bad that the mechs were shocked (in conjunction with a really fucked up axle on the same side) that my wheel just hadnt flown off already.

edit: I take that back. the whole hub was pretty fucked up in actuality. The bearings died while trying to take out the hub

just found this post with a search... I'm going to revamp my suspension and install new drive axles. I was going to replace just the front wheel bearings but should itbe done together with the hub? thanks!

The wheel bearings are in the rear in FWD cars not the front

actually there are wheel bearings in the front. i work at honda now so i can easily use the hydraulic press to easily remove installl bearings for free

Too bad you live in Canada!!!! How much would a dealer charge to replace the bearings if I brought them the hub assm off my car?
