Hey everybody, Like the subject title. Have any of you put in UR pullies? I'm planning on getting a set for some extra hp but was wondering if any of you put them in and have any problems. Let me know

Thanks

well it all depends on what pullies you buy. From what I know the crank pulley is the only one that can give you some problems. There is something about a balancer that the UR pullies don't have that the stock one does have. This supposedly can cause a lot of problems. If I were you I would go with the AEM Tru Power pullies, they are easier to put in and cheaper.

search some old threads on this i can't remember......i posted one like this like 2 months ago and came to the conclusion it was just too much cash. You put the pulleys in, and then you need to get a new, higher amp, alternator. Thats like 5 hp for $300.00+.....IMO, not worth it. Our car really isn't that fast without major mods, what will a few hundred bucks buy you for hp, maybe i/h/e 20-30hp? Just my way of looking at it.

apparently the UR pullies give way more hp than the AEM ones, but there is that whole thing about them messing up your car.

So has anyone put in these pulley's? What has been your experience?

ding069: Are you Positive you have to replace the alternator?

Here is one thread about the "Unorthodox Pulleys for Honda/Acura V6" http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ghlight=pulley

They also mentioned replacing the alternator because the pulley's don't spin the alternator fast enough. I would like to know someone with a CL who has replaced his pulley's and see what his/ her experience has been.

Well, seems like nobody has them put on there car. And since i'm just itching to buy something. I'm going to place my order on the GBC. MY cousin has them on his v6 accord and they're working fine. I'll let you guys know when I get them put in. First I gotta place my order.

I put them in about a month ago. And i got to say, they're great. I get quicker revs and no more of that lag i had between gears.

I have the ultra ss kit, I love them the car revs better also feels more responsive when accelerating. The install was easy i used in impact wrench. on the dyno I got 15hp & 10 ftbl torque to the wheels mostly down in the low rpm range.
