thanks nakamichi. Ill post up the info i get from the dealer for all the components bout to just rip up the carpet in the trunk to see if i can find any serial for the amp.

Also quick question is it possible to have a differnt load on each channel of a 4 channel amp. like say 1 2 4 8 or sum shit. It just for personal knowledge i aint actually gonna try it but just wondering if its possible cause i friend of mine asked and i told him i didnt really have a clue just that the front channels and rear channels can have to diff loads but not sure if each channel by itself can.

No highs, no lows.......must be Bose.

I still got my stock 2nd Gen's, but I don't know if they'd work in a 1st Gen.

Sup guys sorry for the bad punctuation. But i text msg alot so i dont use proper punctuation all the time. But i will try to make it easier on you guys.

Secondly i got my responce from bose today. The 6.5 and 6*9 are 1 ohm and the tweeters are 4 ohm. They wouldnt give me power ratings because its company policy hence why there home products never have a wattage rating on them either.

So my next question is im thinking of replacing the front with infinity Kappas the 2 ohm kind but i am contimplating should i get coaxial for doors and a new set of tweeters or should i get the 2 ohm component set? Which would be louder?

And i can use the 2ohm kind as long as i change both front channels right?? Ill be using Factory amp for now as i piece my system toghther. Im also getting a cheaper version of dynamat installed in trunk and doors. And am trying to get this deal of 2 jl w6s and the 1000/1 jl amp all for 400 bux. So i wont have money to change out anything else for like a month or two.

Thanks for the help and please post your opinions about the planned setup.

be careful with the coaxles in front. I have a set of 2ohm kicker i compared side to side with the stock bose and the stockers made the kickers sound like shit

so should i go with components???

Because i dont really want to change the rest of the speakers so i was hoping to have good speakers in the front and really good tweeters. Then leave the rears as is and have some good subs in the trunk.

Probably wont change out the deck because it works great and i also got my mp3 set up to play on it now and it gives really good quality for my preference.

Get matched components, don't get coaxials. And you def wanna replace the 6x9's, they blow fast

well what ive been hearing is that the rear speakers dont add much to your cars soundstage they are mostly there as fillers and bass. Thats why i wasnt going to change out the rears. Cause i got subs in the back already so i dont need them for bass and if i keep the originals there they will complete their function as being fillers.
Im not trying to impress anyone with a hugely loud system just enough for me to hear the music over my subs cause i like to fully feel my subs. lol

That depends on the speaker and your taste I guess, I got 3 ways in the back and have mad highs coming from the rear with the mids and bass now, sounds way clearer, but that's what I wanted

blackack what brand you got?
My plans where to get the infinity 2 ohm components then save sum money and get a 2 channel amp to power them and keep the stock stuff in the back. I guess ill just try that first and if it dont work out ill sell the 2 channel buy a 4 channel and sum 2way infinity 6*9s.
Also what you guys think of the infinity speakers???

I have audiobahn matched 2 way components and tweeters, and 3 way 6x9's. They sound good as hell. Magnets are huge too

They sound pretty good, they're being amped currently. Infinities are good as well.
