Any Problems w/ Your WW Lips?

i went arounda few places for a paint price quote, and one of the guys told me that he can't do a good job painting the lip b/c the material the lip is made of suxs...he said that even if he uses the best primer and paint it would all start peeling off in a matter of months...but i still got it done somewhere else and it looks great...Any of you have this peeling problem?

the lip is made of polyurethane, can't get much better then that. However mine has started to peel, but the guy that painted it didn't fucking put a primer down on it :bash:

isn't polyerethane this flexy kind easier to paint than the mud flaps? just needs a good sanding primering and some decent spray... shouldn't be bad at all considering people aren't having problems with the painted side skirts (97) and the mud flaps after a good prepping.

IT HAS TO BE DEGREASED,they have to sand it properly and put primer on it of course
mine looks great ,, the only problem that i have is the damn sticky tape which holds the lip on ,, it looks like shit if you are looking down on the lip,, but my friend is going to make some strips which i are going to b painted with some extra cardiff blue paint and lay it over the exposed sticky tape stuff so that it is not visible

I think they should add the flex additive to it, like the bumpers.

I guess... I have never gotten anything painted... my opinion here is from reading comments...

I was wondering if the tape would make the lip stick out more... no wonder people get it molded...

is there some thinner tape you can use? or something?

you need a flex material when you primer it so that it doesnt crack, this is also needed when you mold anythign to the car using polyuyrathane parts and some fiberglass parts too

Mine is a little wavy underneath the front lip too, about where the radiator sits. There really is no way to fix it that i have found tho. Flex additive is a must when painting urethane parts.
