Jjst thought I'd throw it in here my 97 premium has the heated mirrors(switch is at controls). I have always wondered the diff between years. So the tranny is diff with 97 and the following years but all years are garbage correct? I do wish my side skirts we're painted(gonna take care of that).

Thanks for the info but winter's over and I'm 90% sure I'm going with an RSX interior swap soon. I might try to rip out the heated seat components and put them into the RSX seats though.. if I do, I'll make a DIY.

Just over the square to move the mirroir, beside the switch to select right or left. You have a kind of switch On/Off for the heated mirroir!
On the 6thgen Accord, the switch have a red led on it to let you know if its heating or not. On my Cl, i do not have this led. Maybe it came later or mine is busted

good hint, I've got the same problem. My passengers love the heated seat, however I loathe them for their show of decadence. Never really needed the mirrors heated but I turn them on, just in case they do something.

hmm... mine must not be working then, i've never seen it light up before, and when i've pressed the button to get the ice off the mirrors i thought it didn't do anything.
guess i'll have to check my fuses and go from there

ok, i played around with it tonight while i was working. it was cold out, like 3-5 degrees so i can't verify the CC part, although i turned off the CC and it stayed on. what i did notice was the switch doesn't seem to lite up until the mirrors get warm.
i find it amusing that we're actually having a discusion about heated mirrors

Speaking of lights. My heated seat that doesn't work, does light up and my gas light does not work. I learned about the gas light the hard way, it was the first time I've ever run out of gas in my life.

my heated mirrors light stays on no matter how hot or cold it is. never seemed like the CC ever controlled it. if i click the button in to turn them on, it always lights up.. for the longest time i left them on all year round cuz i liked the color it glowed when its on.

yeah seriously, it's a 64 liter tank and if i fill up at E before the light comes on i put in like 45-50L.
the CB7 was the same too. i drove 800kms all highway on one tank once and not speed limit highway either, lol.

You are correct, also any dirt at the bottom of the tank will be sucked in to the fuel lines and in to your fuel system. This isn't supposed to be an issue anymore because fuel is supposed to be filtered better, but I don't trust that.

and if i had a built engine i would agree with you, but a stock honda motor is pretty dummy proof. Unless it has dohc, lol.
also i was kinda being sarcastic but i'm tired and forgot the posting in red thing you guys do on here.

I fill the car completely once and a while but usually put 5 gallons in, since it fits my routine, with my 50 mile round trip commute. 17 gallons is a lot of weight.
yeah, I shouldn't be running that low, but as mentioned it is a honda, I already own a car with bad fuel pump issues...taurus, had to already change it once, since the wife doesn't seem to understand this concept of not running on E.
It shouldn't be done often, but by the number of people with the same problem as me, just in this thread, I think we might conclude there's something up with the warning light in the first gen CL.

its because our fuel gauge is mechanical and not digital. ever notice when ou park on a hill you have a different amount of gas then when your flat? its a mechanical bobber, much like one from a toilet that tells the gauge how much gas is in the tank. if you have a 1/4 tank and park facing uphill on a relativley steep hill, chances are your going to have a gas light on when you get in the car.
