dont buy thatspeaking of cheap intakes. the ebay ones right... do you think it would be benificial to get some engine paint, the heat stuff. and sand down the intake and repaint with the thermal paint it would do any good or any harm. never tried it before thought it might help keep the hot engine from heating up the intake as much or keep cold air in?????
Not sure if it would prevent anything from happening as far as keeping it from heating up or keeping cold air in, but im pretty sure you can paint it. I believe 97BlackAckCL painted his, but i could be wrong..
Oh boy another intake thread.
But yeah like everybody NO! dont buy it, buy the cheap one from ebay and with the rest of the money left over, buy some paint so you could blackhouse your headlights

No, mine came like that $40 on ebay, they don't make em anymore though
black ack did your intake come with the bypass valve for 40 bucks? also with the bypass valve is that gonna gurantee not to suck up water or does it just keep it to a minimum? i know how the valve works. I installed a cold air into an s2000 when i worked for a custom shop only to have the guy try to start his car in a flooded parking lot 3 days later and hydrolock his motor.. wasnt happy but we told him hed meed to be careful because that would happen if he went through deep water.
